Will youth unemployment ever be solved?

The problem of youth unemployment is one that continues to affect many African countries, Kenya included. There are thousands of youth that are being churned out of the country’s high schools and Universities, and all of them will be looking for a limited number of jobs. The number of jobs is increasing at a very slow pace, and not keeping up with the growth in the number of graduates and school leavers.

Mass unemployment is a serious problem for many countries, and having youth full of energy who have nothing to do is something that many governments are struggling with. The introduction of initiatives such as the Youth enterprise fund, the Kazi kwa Vijana project, though laudable, still is a drop in the ocean for such a huge problem.
